Personal .ie Domain Registration

As with all .ie domain registrations there are some rules to what you can and can't register. With a personal domain most name formats are allowed but you cannot register just your first, last name or a nickname as a domain. Below are some examples of acceptable name formats..

  • john-smith.ie
  • jsmith.ie
  • j-smith.ie
  • johnpaulsmith.ie
  • john-paul-smith.ie
  • jpsmith.ie
  • john-p-smith.ie
  • johnpsmith.ie
  • paulsmith.ie
  • paul-smith.ie
  • psmith.ie
  • p-smith.ie

When registering a Personal Domain Name you must also provide provide a copy of your passport or drivers licence or a recent utility bill for identification purposes.
